If you caught the prime minister’s press conference on Nov 23rd, you’ll already know gyms are able to reopen across the country from Dec 2nd. That’s great news for all of us. And I know it will help us get back some sense of normalcy.
We’ll open December 2nd
On Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 we’ll reopen our doors again. Personal training and Reformer Pilates will be available immediately once we reopen. As before, we have loads of COVID safety measures in place to protect you when visiting Drakes Gym. If you have questions about those measures, please get in touch. The whole team can’t wait to help you get back to your routine.
This December, focus on fit
Usually, December is a slow month for gyms. People are tired and burnt out. Christmas parties, copious amounts of food and family commitments see many skip out on their schedule. Once the festive season ends, gyms are rammed with loads of people trying to make up for all those missed sessions.
But this year, we can do things differently. With less cluttered schedules, we can keep our health top of mind. There’s no excuse. Finish out 2020 on a fitness high note with these tips:
- Set an achievable December fitness goal
- Define your workout schedule and rest days
- Tell a friend your plan or post it on social for accountability
- Track your progress weekly to keep motivated
- Ask our PT team for help if you need it
